PFM is the standard that started the first ceramic crowns. To this day it is used in many situations and still stands the test of time.

PFZ or Zirconia Cut Back (Facial is layered in porcelain) gives beautiful results, and with the zirconia cutback, it also offers durability with less chance of porcelain chipping. PFZ is a good alternative to PFM, both in esthetics and cost savings.

Anderson Dental Studio offers two types of Zirconia, High Strength with less translucency and lower strength with higher translucency. FCZ is a cost saving alternative to the Full Cast Crown.

Typically, full gold crowns are another standard in dentistry and have also stood the test of time. We offer two types of gold alloys, a 60% High Nobel (rich yellow color) and 2% Nobel (yellow color). We also offer a high palladium Nobel Alloy, and a Non-precious Alloy, both of which are silver in color. These are typically, but not always, used in the molar regions of the mouth.

When helping a patient determine whether or not to pursue treatment, we can help by designing a diagnostic wax-up. This serves as a great tool to review tooth shape, smile line, occlusion or vertical dimension.

Send your patient to our lab and we will have a trained CDT determine the best shade for your patient. Should the crown need to be adjusted for any reason, just send the patient back to our lab and we will make sure they are completely satisfied. We have custom made address cards available to help your patient locate us. Just call our office if you need additional cards.

Deb Douglas leads our Removable Team and is here to help you plan your next case, whether it be full or partial denture, splint, night guard or an ortho retainer. We use mainly Dentsply and Ivoclar teeth, but will accommodate if you wish to use another product.
